ABOUT US:
Primorsko svetovalno središče, Koper
Primorsko svetovalno središče, Koper (PRIMSS) was established in December 2007. Before that date we existed as an independent working group in terms of programmes and realization within the Student organization of University of Primorska. The programmes we offer have been developed at first according to needs of young people between the age of 14 and 29, but it soon appeared that our educational, counselling and awareness-raising programmes are attractive for other groups as well. Today our vocational trainings, seminars, courses, lectures, workshops, round tables, debate groups, self-help groups, counselling and therapeutic assistance as well as information and/or prevention-oriented activities are attended by very diverse groups of people in terms of age, gender, education or social status.
As a non-profit people-oriented organisation we focus on the availability of our programmes to all those that need them for a symbolic (pupils, students, unemployed) or lowest possible fee (employed people, seniors).
At our work we strive to cover the areas of knowledge that directly or indirectly help building the quality of life. Besides assistance in resolving personal distress, psychotherapeutic aid and eating disorders support groups we also developed various programmes focused on interpersonal and public communication, social economy, human rights, environment protection, lifelong and informal learning. Additionally we also offer basic legal and health counselling.
Implementation as well as entire preparation of each activity under our scope is performed by experts. To achieve maximum expertise we also cooperate with various other NGOs and public institutions in order to improve the scope of our offer.
